There have been 3 sessions so far in the current series of Free Public Talks on Men's Health in Inverness Town House .
There have been excellent speakers and supportive audiences who've asked a lot of questions. There've also been a number of stands from relevant organisiations and the Town House staff have been great, including with refreshments.
The next session will be on Friday morning , 17th Feb ,( Main hall, and entering by the Castle Steet entrance)starting at 9.30 am and ending about 12 noon,with talks by : Mr Garry Coutts,Chairman of NHS Highland, on " Plans for Integrating Health and Social Care in the Highlands" ; Dr Rob Peel, Renal Physician,Raigmore Hospital, on " Men and Kidney Disease",Mr Martin MacRae, a patient on Dialysis,who recently travelled the 3 Lochs with a portable Dialysis Machine, as a fundraiser, on " Experience of a Dialysis Patient" and Dr John Harvie,Rheumatology Consultant,Raigmore Hospital on " Men and Arthritis",
Further sessions will be on Friday mornings 9th March,( Prostate Cancer, Joint Replacement and Surgery) and 23rd March ( Heart Disease,Erectile Dysfunction, Exercise and Sport ) and Wed lunch time 28th March(Diabetes and Screening).
Men's Health Highland's next group meeting will be on Friday morning 11th May, in Inshes Church
